Book Study:  The Boy who was Raised as a Dog 

The purpose of this book study is to provide an overview of Bruce Perry’s Book “The Boy who Was Raised as a Dog” as well as the Neurosequential Model  in education. This will be done by reading and discussing the book, as well as listening to presenters, discussion and written reflection.  

This course is open to both members and non-members of North Dakota United and will be offered as an online course.

 Learning Objectives

After this book study, participants will:

1.  Demonstrate a deeper understanding how trauma impacts children.

2.  Have basic knowledge of how to develop positive and effective relationships with children who have experienced trauma.

3. Demonstrate a basic understanding of the neuro-sequential model.


Details on the online format will be shared with participants prior to the start of class.

This course is eligible for 1 credit through UND and is included in the above cost.  Information on registering for the credit will be availble in the future.
